MOVIEMENT ATHENS | HOFKINO BERLIN | AL-RIWAQ GALLERY BAHRAIN | SHASHAMOVIES
Documentary, 56 mins
Filmed over a period of six months from the Greek-Turkish border to Athens and the Serbian border town of Sid, ‘Lost Youth’ captures the complex world of a group of young Afghan men who arrive in Europe chasing a western dream.
In Athens they must choose between enrolling in the asylum program or continuing their journey north of the border to more affluent EU nations. Paralysed by the enormity of the difficulties they face, the men soon find themselves losing sight of their dream and risk becoming part of the city’s underworld.
